After spending most of my twenties in the music industry, first as a music journalist and later as the managing director of a record label, I decided to pursue my life-long interest in psychology and human processes seriously in the form of a psychology degree in 2000. At the same time, I started training as a Priestess of Avalon with Kathy Jones (Isle of Avalon Foundation) in Glastonbury, because I was equally fascinated with women's spirituality. In the Priestess training, of which I completed five years, I learnt much about Goddess mythology, ritual, ceremony, Sacred Drama, creativity and group processes.
After graduating, I spent a number of years working in the Prison Service, first as a researcher, and then as Pagan Chaplain. During the Chaplaincy post, I led group rituals and meditations, and taught a course in Introductory Paganism. It was here that I really started to feel the transformational powers of ritual and myth.
I now work as a Community Priestess, Writer and Performer in Leamington Spa, where I lead public and private rituals and ceremonies. I also have a great love for Sacred Drama and organize interactive drama events around the West Midlands. In addition, I am the Pagan representative at the Warwick District Faiths Forum, where I work to promote tolerance and peace between different faiths in the community.
I am passionate about retrieving our neglected religious heritage, in particular the Divine Feminine and women’s mysteries, and re-integrating them into our lives. Through my work, I aim to facilitate these energies for others who wish to re-connect to them. I am particularly drawn to working with the myths of the Dark Goddess, such as The Descent of Inanna, Demeter and Persephone, and Kali.
